Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Solar Homebase, Inc. ("Solar Homebase," "we," "our," or "us") operates the website solarhomebase.com and provides a solar installer marketplace. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our services.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly:

• Address and electricity usage — to generate your solar estimate. • First name, last name, email address, and phone number — only if you choose to proceed to installer matching. • TCPA consent acknowledgment — required before we share your contact information with any installer.

We also automatically collect limited technical data: IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. We use this to maintain and improve the service. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Generate your solar savings estimate. • Match you with up to 3 vetted local solar installers (only if you request matching). • Share your contact details with the specific installers you approve. • Send transactional communications related to your estimate or matching. • Improve our algorithms, estimate accuracy, and matching quality.

We do not use your information for advertising targeting, behavioral profiling, or to train third-party AI models.

4. Who we share your information with

We share your contact information only with solar installers you explicitly approve — never before, never more than 3, never with anyone else.

We do not sell, rent, or broker your personal information to any third party. We do not share your information with data brokers, lead aggregators, or advertising networks.

We may share limited technical data with service providers who help operate our platform (hosting, analytics, email delivery) under strict data processing agreements.

5. Data retention

We retain your estimate data (address, usage) for up to 12 months to enable you to return and continue your journey. Contact information is retained for as long as your matching is active, or until you request deletion. You may request deletion at any time.

6. Your rights

Depending on your state, you may have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you. • Request correction of inaccurate information. • Request deletion of your personal information. • Opt out of sharing your information with matched installers.

To exercise any of these rights, email optout@solarhomebase.com. We respond to all requests within 10 business days.

7. TCPA consent

When you submit the installer matching form, you provide explicit consent under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) for Solar Homebase and up to 3 matched installers to contact you by phone, text, and email. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before the withdrawal.

8. Children's privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the service after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
